Canadian July Tractor Sales Up 94%, Combine Sales Up 60%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors in Canada during July were up 15% compared to the same month last year.

For the seven months in 2021, a total of 18,560 tractors were sold which compares to 14,061 sold thru July 2020 representing an 63% increase for the year.

In July, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 13% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 16%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 70%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 33%.

For the six months, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are even with last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 44%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 61%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 94%.

Combine sales were up 60% for the month. Sales of combines for seven months totaled 935, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2020.
