According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors in Canada during April were down 19% compared to the same month last year.
For the four months in 2022, a total of 2,992 tractors were sold which compares to 3,695 sold thru April 2021 representing a 19% decrease for the year.
In April, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 21% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 12%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 17%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 50%.
For the four months, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 8% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 5%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are even, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 45%.
Combine sales were down 14% for the month. Sales of combines for four months totaled 110, a decrease of 14% over the same period in 2021.
