Canadian Tractor Sales Up 33% In June, Combines Sales Up 14%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ monthly “Flash Report,” the sales of all tractors in Canada in June 2020 are even with last year.

For the month, a total of 3,280tractors were sold, which compares to 2,475 sold through June 2019.

For the month of June, two-wheel-drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down up 42% from last year while 40 & under 100 HP were up 20%. Sales of two-wheel-drive 100+ HP were down 20% compared to last year and four-wheel-drive tractors were up 83% for the month.

For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 7% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 3%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 25%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 17% for the year.

Combine sales were up 14% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 467, a decrease of 31% over the same period in 2019.
