According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors in the U.S. in December 2019 were even compared to the same month last year.
For 2019, a total of 244,637 tractors were sold which compares to 236,188 sold thru December 2019 representing a 4% increase year to date.
For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 5% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 9%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 6%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 28%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 5% over last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were even. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 4%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 6%.
Combine sales were down 12% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 4,807 even with the same period in 2018.
