Growers Edge, a provider of data-driven financial technology (fintech) solutions for the agricultural industry, today announced a partnership with Bazine, Kansas-based Cooperative Grain and Supply (CGS), to introduce a warranty-backed Crop Plan and new CGS financing product.
“It is exciting to deliver innovation to CGS customers through the Growers Edge Crop Plan for milo seed, precision agriculture and input financing,” said Michael Kempke, General Manager at CGS. “By offering data-backed warranty plans and input financing, we can increase confidence for growers as they plant new seed varieties, venture into precision agriculture, and partner with the grower to finance their inputs.”
Growers Edge worked with CGS to design a tailored offer of products and management practices to meet the unique objectives of their grower customers. Growers participating in the HyG4 and Ohlde Seed Milo Max program will receive a warranty payment if their crop yields do not meet the established benchmark.
“Growers are seeing the opportunity with our warranty-backed Crop Plans to reduce some of the risk involved with new products and technologies,” said Tracy Linbo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Growers Edge. “Backed by sophisticated data and analytics, this program can help provide peace of mind and investment protection to growers and retailers.”
Adding to CGS’ innovative offerings, the company is also deploying a new digital financing program for the first time. The program brings in-house financing for inputs for the CGS Crop Plan and input purchases across its entire business enterprise. The program features an all-digital application and a loan management portal so growers can apply, manage and pay for input financing 24/7 from their phone, tablet or computer.
“We’re honored and excited to help CGS deliver a convenient and flexible custom-branded financing platform for their customers,” said Jamey Ross, Vice President of Lending at Growers Edge. “Our goal is to help CGS better serve their customers, streamline their internal processes and grow their business.”
Growers can enroll in the innovative CGS Crop Plan and or apply for financing by visiting with their CGS representative starting in January 2022. Learn more by visiting www.cgscoop.net.
