Kubota Corporation (Headquarters: Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and Representative Director: Masatoshi Kimata; hereinafter referred to as “Kubota”) announced today its decision to utilize the development and production capabilities of Buhler Industries Inc. (Headquarters: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; President: Marat Nogerov; “Buhler”) for a new series of tractors.

Buhler has a proven track record for designing, manufacturing, and distributing large tractors in North America and Kubota has chosen to take this direction with a view toward improving development lead time and optimizing product specifications to meet local requirements.

With this new arrangement, which will enable the addition of tractors in a horsepower range greater than the currently largest M7 170-horsepower line, Kubota will strengthen its large tractor business in the North American market.

Incorporating Kubota’s proprietary knowhow on ease of operation and functional design, new large tractors customized exclusively for Kubota will be introduced to the United States and Canada from the second half of 2019, in an effort to penetrate the North American large tractor market.

“Our in-depth understanding of the realities of Canadian agriculture and the needs of our customers has always been at the core of what we do at Kubota, said Bob Hickey, President of Kubota Canada Ltd. Today’s announcement will allow us to broaden our horizons as our engineers will work with Buhler’s employees, in order to develop and produce tractors specific to our local market’s needs and tailored for their applications.”
