
According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors during May 2023, in the U.S. were down 1% from the same month last year.
In May, a total of 27,266 tractors were sold which compares to 27,462 sold in 2022.
For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 3% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 1%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 10%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 51%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 16% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 9%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 6%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 52%.
Combine sales in May totaled 487 up 55% from last year. Year to date sales of combines in 2023 total 2,565, an increase of 68% from the same period in 2022.
