Minnesota Governor Eases Hours Of Service Regs To Increase Fertilizer Deliveries

BrownfieldAgNews reports:

Governor Dayton has issued an executive order to increase fertilizer access for Minnesota farmers.

The order temporarily eases regulations on hours of service for motor carriers and drivers delivering fertilizer.

Citing a late spring with delayed planting that’s resulted in a regional shortage of anhydrous ammonia and other fertilizers, Dayton says he wants to ensure sufficient resources are available to farmers.

Dayton’s order is effective immediately and will remain in effect for 30 days.
