U.S. October Tractor Sales Up 18%, Combine Sales Up 15%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors in the U.S. in 2020, were up 18% in October compared to 2019.

For the year, a total of 247,199 tractors were sold which compares to 214,820 sold in 2019 representing a 15% increase.

For the month of September, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 23% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 11%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 10%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 23%.

For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 19% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 11%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are even, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 1%.

Combine sales were up 15% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 4,333 compared to 4,109 in 2019, a 6% increase.
