
According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors in the U.S. in 2020, were up 22% in September compared to 2019.
For the year, a total of 218,970 tractors were sold which compares to 190,876 sold in 2019 representing a 15% increase.
For the month of September, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 27% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 14%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 7%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 21%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 18% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 11%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 2%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 5%.
Combine sales were up 8% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 3,770 compared to 3,615 in 2019, a 4% increase.
