
According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors during May, 2022 in the U.S. were down 14% from the same month last year.
In May, a total of 27,880 tractors were sold which compares to 32,618 sold in 2021.
For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 16% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 16%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 14%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 30%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 17% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 13%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 10%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 13%.
Combine sales in May totaled 315 were down 13% from last year. Year to date sales of combines in 2022 total 1,522, a decrease of 14% over the same period in 2021.
