
According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors in the U.S. in 2020, were up 13% in August compared to 2019.
For the year, a total of 194,495 tractors were sold which compares to 170,642 sold in 2019 representing a 14% increase.
For the month of August, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 15% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 14%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 8%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 14%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 17% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 11%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 3%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 10%.
Combine sales were even for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 3,140 compared to 3,032 in 2019, a 4% increase.
