U.S. Tractor Sales Up 25% In January, Combine Sales Up 77%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s monthly “Flash Report,” the sale of all tractors in the U.S. during January were up 25% compared to the same month last year.

For the first month in 2021, a total of 15,807 tractors were sold which compares to 12,679 sold thru January 2020 representing a 18% increase.

For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 33% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 16%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 1%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 34%.

For the first month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 33% over last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 16%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 31, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 34%.

Combine sales were up 25% for the month. Sales of combines for one month totaled 350 an increase of 77% over the same period in 2020.
